These precision milled scales are a perfect fit to replace the standard G10 scales. The back scale has been milled out for the liner lock relief. Includes pocket clip holes for tip-up, right hand carry. We finished these with a unique antique stonewash finish, and no two scales are exactly the same. With the custom brass scales installed, the knife weighs in about 6.90 oz, giving the Tenacious some serious heft. These scales will develop their own unique patina with time and use. We can’t wait for you to get these in your hands, the quality and finish is top tier!

*Installation of the scales requires some basic tools and knowledge. You will need a high quality torx bit set to remove the screws and pivots. The pivot can be tough to remove. There are some good informational videos on YouTube if you need more instructions or email us.

Originally just selling the one and only knife in their range, the Tri-Angle Sharpmaker. It wasn't until 1981 that they really hit their stride, with the introduction of the CO1 Worker knife. This was their initial foray into making folding knives and it's fair to say – they nailed it. The knife made use of several ergonomic innovations that have become the industry standard in folding knives today. Spyderco knives offer users a premium cutting tool through their use of high-end steel that offers a sharp edge that will be retained for years to come. But these are just the standard aspects that make any good knife. Going back to that initial breakaway moment from 1981, Spyderco's main point of difference at that time, and still today, was down to a few key ergonomic innovations that made their knives much more user-friendly for their customers. The first of these innovations is the use of the Spyderco Round Hole. This simple but immensely effective ergonomic innovation changed the game for folding knives. It came at a time when single-handed folding knives didn't open anywhere near as easily as they did once the Round Hole was introduced. It allowed the user to pinch the knife blade between the thumb and forefinger, close to the spine, and lever the blade out. The next innovation was another simple but highly effective addition to what was already a solid blade. This was the pocket clip. Though simple as an idea, this was a huge step forward for everyday carriers and provided the user with stability and security in their pocket, while ensuring other items held in the pocket could still be easily accessed.ÂHow To Clean A Spyderco Knife
After using your Spyderco knife for a cutting task, you may find that it is in need of a clean. The extent to which the knife needs cleaning and what materials you use will depend mainly on what the knife was cutting. For a general mess that hasn't left grease, a simple wipe-down with a rag or towel will suffice. If the knife has been used for cutting up meat or another task leaving behind greasy material, a combination of dish soap and warm water is your best bet. If after using the knife for a period of time and you can see that it is starting to accumulate dust, grim, pocket lint and other residues, you may choose to pull the knife apart and do a thorough clean. Do this by:- Unscrewing the knife and placing any screws and parts on a tray to keep them together.
- Place the knife parts in a bucket with warm soapy water.
- Use a toothbrush or other bristled utensil to scrub everything clean.
- Rinse everything and allow to dry prior to reassembly.
- Put the knife back together, ensuring all screws are done up tight.
