When it comes to processing the day’s catch, Benchmade believe in the theory of “Fish more, sharpen less.” Fashioned with a large 9” trailing point blade of CPM-MagnaCut steel with SelectEdge® tech, the Fishcrafter excels at filleting medium to large fish where that extra length makes for a smooth, clean cut. Featuring a long, straight edge for stability in the cut and upswept tip for aiding in deboning, the 9” Fishcrafter™ with its durable Santoprene® handle has a finger guard with jimping to prevent slipping during push cuts. The Sonar Gray molded sheath has two slits either side for an alternative mounting option, and a draining hole at the tip. A premium tool or gift for the discerning fisher.

The founder, Les De Asis, started his own knife building company under the name Bali-Song. Named after the main knife product they produced at the time, the balisong or 'butterfly' knife. The added vanadium carbides provide industry-leading edge retention. It has garnered a reputation for having great all-around properties.CPM-M4Another example of American-made powdered steel that has been leading the way in abrasion resistance and overall toughness.
